Using Non-Owned Inductions
The Non-Owned Inductions option allows lots to be created for/inducted into your customer’s non-owner inventory. Inducting lots through the use of this screen will update non-owner inventory balances, so that the system will correctly reflect the amounts of customer inventory in your non-owner's inventory. It does not update your regular inventory since your customers' inventory must be kept separate from your own.
This screen should be used for customer entries only, and should not be used to induct your inventory into non-owner lots.
When you first enter the Non-Owned Inductions option a Select An Option window will appear:
- If you select EXIT, the system will leave this option.
- If you select INDUCT NON-OWNER LOTS, the system will allow you to induct lots into non-owner inventory.
- If you select BY NON-OWNER LOT, the system will allow you to locate existing non-owner lots by the lot number.
- If you select BY CUSTOMER, the system will allow you to locate existing non-owner lots by customer.
- If you select BY ITEM, the system will allow you to locate existing non-owner lots by item.
- If you select PRINT ACTIVITY REPORT, the system will print a listing of all inductions for the current date. Continue in the Printing Non-Owner Report.
